Those who submit an abstract are committed to present the paper in person at the ORCA Congress. Poster presenters are required to stand by their posters at the following times:

Each session has two chairpersons who will introduce the presenters. If you are not able to present yourself, then you must inform ORCA and designate a substitute to present on your behalf. This ensures that we can provide an accurate list of presenters in each session to the session chairs.

Poster size: portrait style A0, i.e. 84cm width by 118cm height. Landscape A0 posters will not fit on the poster board. Posters should include the abstract id contained within the book of abstracts. You are expected to print your own poster. The organisation will provide mounting material.

Poster discussion

Most sessions include up to 8 presentations.  There are two chairpersons in each session who will call you forward when it is time for your presentation so, please be ready. Your first slide will be opened for you onto the screen, ready for your presentation. You will be able to switch to the second slide yourself. You will have 2 minutes allocated to present your research, followed by 4 minutes for questions. Please ensure you keep your presentation to 2 minutes to ensure we allow for equal discussion for every presentation. The chair persons will keep you informed of the time.

PowerPoint Slides

All slides should be submitted as a PDF file to [email protected] by Monday 9 June 2025 Tuesday 10 June 2025. There is no specific PowerPoint template to follow, but please ensure your presentation:

  • Is created in the 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen)
  • Contains no animations
  • Is a maximum of 1MB.

Replacement speaker

In the event that you are unable to present your poster, please inform ORCA via [email protected] as soon as possible to confirm who will present on your behalf.
